Use gmail to send questionnaires and collect responses

EQ uses the existing email system for conducting questionnaires. It is very important that you have the correct mail settings for EQ to function correctly. Gmail makes questionnaire sending and response collection easy. Create a free gmail account for EQ/WQ purpose first.

Before sending questionnaires,
please follow the instructions below to complete smtp configuration.

1. Click Options item in Tools menu
2. In Outgoing Mail tab, select "Use SMTP Server".
3. Enter "smtp.gmail.com" as the Server.
4. Enter 465 as the Server Port.
5. Check on the "Server Needs Authentication".
6. Enter your full email address (including @gmail.com or @your_domain.com) and password.
7. Check on the "This server requires a secure connection."

To collect responses,
please follow the instructions below to complete incoming mail settings.

1. Click Options item in Tools menu
2. In Incoming Mail tab, only select "Enable POP3/IMAP Access".
3. If POP3 is selected, enter pop.gmail.com as Host and 995 as the Server Port
   
   
   
4. If IMAP is selected, enter imap.gmail.com as Host and Enter 993 as the Server Port.
   
   
   
5. Enter your full email address (including @gmail.com or @your_domain.com) and password.
6. Enter how often to poll the server for replies, ex. 60 seconds.
7. Check on the "This server requires a secure connection."

Beside, please make sure that you have enable POP or IMAP in Gmail.
