How does WQ get questionnaire replies ?
When the respondent clicks on the submit button of the questionnaire, web browser will send the result using either the POST/GET HTTP protocol method. This information passes through Compressweb Formmail gateway. After the gateway composes a new email message, it is then sent back to the questionnaire sender, specified as "Sender Email Address".

How does WQ get questionnaire replies ?
Using Outlook add-in
Upon receiving emails from "Sender Email Address" with Outlook,WQ uses an add-in to detect whether a new questionnaire reply has arrived, and redirect to WQ if necessary. After that, the replies are moved to the "Deleted Folders" of Outlook.
Using POP3
If POP3 access is specified, EQ checks periodically for the POP3 server if any new questionnaire replies have arrived. The POP3 account and password must be specified in WQ, and it should be the same as "Sender Email Address". The email will then be removed from the POP3 server.
For Outlook Express
Users receive emails from "Sender Email Address" as usual. WQ checks periodically if any new questionnaire replies have been received in Outlook Express. If new replies are detected it will be retrieved.
The different ways to retrieve questionnaire replies is illustrated in the following chart:
