- If you are using credit cards, you could purchase directly via EQ.
From EQ Menu, Tools=>Options, Registration tab.

- After the payment is processed, you will receive an email with the license key.
- Enter the license key in the Key field of your Registration tab, and click the "OK" button to finish the registration process.
If the key is incorrect, EQ will notify you that license key is not valid.Otherwise, the registration process is successful and all features are ready to use.
To place an order and pay by check or money order:
- Click the following URL:Order online
- On the Email Questionnaire page, Click the "Order Now" Button.
- On the "Purchase Details" page, select "Check/Money Order" from the drop down list.
- On the "Order Summary Page," Click the "Place Your Order" Button.
On the page that follows payment instructions will be presented to you. You will need to send a check or money order to the address listed on the final page. The software will not be available for download until funds have been received.
Phone orders may be placed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To place a phone order:

- Request Email Questionnaire, Product ID: 12952-5.
After you have placed the order, an order confirmation email will be sent that will include instructions on how to download the software.

For Bank/Wire Transfer and Giro customers: The invoice sent to you via post will be the same. At that time you may use either method for payment.
You will still be able to view/edit questionnaire, receive replies. However, you could not send questionnaires anymore.
- The standard version is limited 100 recipients for each questionnaire.
- The professional version does not have the above limitation, plus 30
HTML templates, send via Exchange Servers and is able export web based questionnaires.
- The Enterprise version provides additional Mail Merge capability and
it could insert/edit the replies in the Data View. This allows you to do phone or paper surveys.

There are no additional costs for you to use EQ.
Yes, you could buy standard/professional versions and later upgrade to professional/enterprise versions. However, you have to pay the price difference between the versions.
- You don't have to click "Register Here" since you have already registered.
- You have to click on the "OK" button after you enter the license key in the Registration tab.
- If EQ displays "invalid license key", the key is not valid. Otherwise, if EQ does not show any message, it means the key is accepted.
- Extended download service is offered by the RegNow Company, not Compressweb. Since you could always download the latest version from our website, it is not necessary to purchase this service.
- If you have purchased this item, you should have received a URL to download EQ in RegNow's email. Click it to download the program.

- Please enter the license in the Key field of the Registration tab, and click OK button to validate.
- If the key is incorrect, EQ will notify you "Invalid license key". Otherwise, the key is validated and all features are unlocked.
- Please give us the values of your UserName & SerialNo.
You could find these settings from EQ Menu, Tools=>Options, Registration tab.

Look for "Email Questionnaire Version" with a number following it.
- Exit Outlook if running.
- Delete %Userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\extend.dat
For example, if your user name is "Leo Kerr" and, the file is possibly
"C:\Document and Settings\Leo Kerr\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\extend.dat"
Note, some of the directories are hidden, you may need to show hidden file in order to see them.
- Install EQ again.

- Start Outlook, see if the problem is fixed.
- The demo version needs a key to unlock all the features.

Some program like Eudora will overwrite the mapi32.dll included in Windows. Please try to execute the following program to restore your mapi32.dll:
- C:\Winnt\system32\fixmapi.exe or C:\Windows\system32\fixmapi.exe
If your windows is install in other directory, please change the prefix "C:\winnt" to the directory where you have installed your windows.
It should recover your original mapi32.dll.
- When creating a new question, Select Comment=>Label. Then input your comment.
- Right now the built-in answer library could not be changed.
However, you could save your questions into the question library.
- Right click on the question in the Tree Window, and select Add into Question Library.
- After that, when adding a question, select "Question Library" instead of "Question" to add your predefined questions.
Yes, EQ support Mail Merge in the Enterprise Version.
You could do this by putting some data merge fields in the questionnaire.
- First, you will need to prepare the data source in CSV or XLS files, and then import them to EQ.
- From EQ Menu, Form=>Mail Merge. Choose your data source in CSV or XLS. Then click OK to close the dialog.
- After that, you could click on the "M" icon when you are adding a question/select/comment, then choose the appropriate data merge field.
- For the detail steps, please refer to EQ manual page 25.

- You have to import your macro files in CSV/Excel format first.
- From EQ Menu, Form=>Mail Merge. Click "Import From CSV file" or "Import From Excel File".
- Select your macro file to import it to EQ.
- After that, click "Close" button to continue to edit your questionnaire. You will then be able to use Macros in your questionnaire.
Yes, when you are sending a questionnaire, you could enable the option "Anonymous Survey".
- After the questionnaire was sent, it will be copied to the reply directory and you are not able to modify the questionnaire in the reply directory.
Otherwise, the replies may not match the questionnaire edited.
You could redirect the message to your own URL.
You will need to:
- Compose a HTML with the intended message first, and copy the files to your web server.
- Double click on the top-most node of the Tree windows in EQ.
- The questionnaire property dialog will appear.
- Fill in the URL in the "Redirect url" field.
- Send the questionnaire out and submit the questionnaire.
- EQ will display the URL instead of the default message.
- Double click on the topmost node in the Tree Window, a dialog will appear.
Change the "Logo" to your corresponding logo file
- You may need to resize the image to make it smaller.
You could use image tools like Acdsee for this purpose, or there is free service over the Web like the following:

The steps to configure SMTP for gmail if you get a gmail account:

In the Settings for Outgoing Mails, select "Use SMTP Server".
Enter "smtp.gmail.com" as the Server.
Enter 465 as the Server Port.
Check on the "Server Needs Authentication".
Enter you Account/Password in gmail.
Check on the "This server requires a secure connection."

If you'd like to retrieve replies via POP, please only check the "Enable POP3 access" in Incoming Mail.
Enter "pop.gmail.com" as the Server.
Enter 995 as the Server Port.
Enter you Account/Password in gmail.
Check on the "This server requires a secure connection."

If you'd like to retrieve replies via IMAP, please only check the "Enable IMAP access" in Incoming Mail.
Enter "imap.gmail.com" as the Server.
Enter 993 as the Server Port.

Check on the "This server requires a secure connection."
POP or IMAP in Gmail must be enabled. It can be set by clicking Settings=>Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
- It could be that your SMTP server requires authentication to send out emails.
- You may need to check the "Server Needs Authentication" and fill out the
user name & password.
- You could find this setting from EQ Menu, Tools=>Options, Outgoing mails.
- Since EQ does not know if you have changed the questionnaire body or not, it creates a new questionnaire result each time you sent.
- If you do not want EQ to create additional result, you need to add more recipients to a questionnaire.
You could do this via Survey View, Survey=>Add recipient.
After the questionnaire is sent, you could add recipient and select people not responded yet.
- From EQ Survey View, Survey=>Add recipients.
- In the upper-right buttons, select the "Add recipients that still not reply yet" button.
It will automatically add all email addresses that have not replied yet.
- When you are sending questionnaires, uncheck the "Allow Duplicate Replies" option
- After the questionnaire was sent:
From EQ Survey View, Survey=>Extend Endtime.
Uncheck the "allow duplicate replies" option.
Click OK to finish.
- When EQ receives replies, it will only accept the first
reply for each email address.
All other replies will be dropped.
- To send the questionnaire in your intranet, you could use "mailto:" as your Reply Method.
You could see this options in EQ Menu, Tools=>Options, Reply Method.
- However, there may be some security warnings during the submission.
Also, this is not suitable across the Internet, since there are many web
based email clients.
Most of them do not support the "mailto:" to reply a questionnaire.

You could click on the "Email Questionnaire" icon on the toolbar of your Outlook.
It will ask you "Do want to check for lost replies of EQ in inbox?".
Click "Yes" to collect replies in your inbox folder.
There are two possibilities:
- Please check if the endtime of your questionnaire has expired.
From EQ Survey View, Select the questionnaire, check if the "End Time" expires.
If yes, please extend it again.
From EQ Survey View, Survey=>Extend Endtime.
- Do you turn off "Allow Duplicate" option during the sending process?
You could check this from EQ Survey View, Survey=>Extend Endtime.
If "Allow Duplicate Replies" is unchecked, then each email address is not allowed to have more than one reply. Otherwise, it will be dropped.
You could turn this off to get the additional replies from the same email address.
Please try the following steps and see if it works.
- Open Outlook
- Select the Tools menu
- Click on Options.
- Click on Other.
- Click On Advanced Options.
- Click On Addin-Manager.
- If “Email Questionnaire Outlook Add-in” is not checked, check the box and restart Outlook
If this does not work, please try the following method again:
- On the Outlook menu, Help=>About.
- Check if there is a "Disabled Items". If there is, click “Disabled Items”.
- See if "Email Questionnaire add-in" appears .
- Select the add-in and click Enable.
For Outlook 2007 users, please try the following steps
- Open Outlook
- Select the Tools menu
- Click on Trust Center.
- Click on Add-ins.
- At Manage combo box, choose "Exchange Client Extension" then click Go.
- If "Email Questionnaire" is not checked, check the box and restart Outlook 2007.
- In EQ 4.0, we provide a new "Data View" to see the individual replies. You could also manually enter a new response in the Data View. The URL for downloading the new version could be found in the following link:

However, the editing feature is disabled in the trial version. You will need to purchase the Enterprise version in order to use this feature.
- In the Survey View, you could see the individual reply of the
questionnaire.
- You could also export the questionnaire result to Excel.
From EQ Survey View, Survey=>Export=>Excel.
Please try the following steps
- Select the Tools menu => Internet Options
- Click on Security tab, then select Restricted sites zone and click Custom level to change security level
- In ActiveX controls and plug-ins settings, Enable or Prompt "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins".
- Close IE
- Open Flash Form in IE
